What is a Software Freedom Day?
A Software Freedom Day is a day on which promotion of free and open technology takes place. This can happen in many ways.

Since when are there being organised Software Freedom Day's in Europe?
The  first Dutch Software Freedom Day took place at Tosti Tilburg on saturday 28th august 2004 (pictures saturday 28th august 2004. In 2005 another one took place at Tosti Tilburg on saturday and  sunday 10 and 11th september 2005 (pictures saturday 10 september 2005 and sunday 11 september 2005), and on saturday 10 september 2005 also one at the Linux Selfstudy Group Hoorn. In 2006 and 2007 Bas de Lange, leadorganiser Software Freedom Day Europe, organised a Software Freedom Day in Utrecht, and in 2008 in Baarn.

How many Software Freedom Day's have there allready been in Europe?
They take place evry year since 2004.
